Charlie Kelly sponsors St.John's G.A.A. Club Boston Tea Party

The club are indebted to Charlie Kelly proprietor of Kelly's Barber's Shop Teeling Street Sligo.  Speaking at the Sponsorship launch today in Kelly's premises joint Chairman Niall Gordon said the Club "are delighted  with the sponsorship and are indebted to the Kelly family for their generous sponsorship." Niall Gordon on behalf of the club congratulated Charlie on his recent opening of his new premises and wished him every success in  the future with his business.

Kelly's Barber's shop sponsors Club's Boston Tea Party



St John's GAA Club Boston Tea Party which is being held in the Raddison Hotel on Saturday January 31st at 8 p.m.
The club has got great support from the local community both from club members and friends. Charlie Kelly of Kellys Barber shop has come on board as the main sponsor for the night which is greatly appreciated by the club. A small number of tables are still available for those who would either like to host a table or couples who would like to come along and support the club on the night. St. John's G.A.A. Club Notes


Anyone interested in being involved in the following teams in any capacity  for the coming year can contact club secretary John Reilly before Tues 27th Jan 2015.
Div 2 and Junior championship team, Under 21, minor,  under 16 and under 14 teams.

Our February monthly meeting has been brought forward to next wed 28th Jan at 8.30pm in Cuilbeg. It is expected that the club will be in a position to have all team managers including the senior team management appointed on the night.

Best wishes to Mickey O'Hehir

St. John's Mickey O'Hehir

The St. John's G.A.A. Club would like to wish Mickey O'Hehir a speedy recovery following surgery on this shoulder injury in the Santry Sports Clinic last week. Mickey will have a long road to recovery which includes a 16 week rehabilitation programme and also six months of non contact sport.  Mickey will be a sling for the next six weeks as part of his recovery.

Due to the injury it is likely Mickey will not feature for St. John's in 2015 but is hopeful of making a return to the "Sky blues"in 2016.

All in the St. John's Club wish Mickey a full recovery back to full fitness in the year ahead.

A night for all St Johns members and friends in the community to come together to kick off the year in style.This will be a very enjoyable night for friends to meet up and enjoy a great nights entertainment.

A committee comprising of Fergal Kelly (chairman), Ray Henry Snr, and Player representative Shane Stenson  has been set up to bring recommendations to the next club meeting re Div 1 and Div 2 team management for 2015.
